Introductions

Not everybody knows who everyone else is (though I'm probably the worst case of everyone here), and the best way to solve that problem is... Introductions.

I am Quietust, though I usually go by the name 'Q' (see my avatar).
I mainly focus on NES emulation, though I also maintain a small gaming website.
My main connection to That Which Is Malto is that I wrote The Tao of 007, upon which Dwedit based his Flash version.

Re: Introductions

My name is Indogutsu Tenbuki and I'm currently a music major in college. I have several years experience composing original MIDI music for amateur computer games, and I play clarinet in my university wind ensemble. My other major passion is RPG Maker 2000, and over the past five years, Brasington Lane Software Planning (an independent team of amateur game designers that I founded) has released several fully functioning games. Our current project is a continuation of Enix's classic RPG, Dragon Warrior IV. In December 2004, I became the first person to create a fanimutation (Foo-La-La) using that program. If you want to play these games, you need to install the RPG Maker 2000 Run-Time Package on your computer (sorry, Windows only, no Macs). I also made a sprite comic for a couple of months, which was called "Hachimippan In-Chan" and was all about the perils of moving back with one's parents and suffering under their oppressive regime, until I had to discontinue the comic because my classes got too demanding.

In short, I consider myself a man of many talents, but whatever I do, Neil Cicierega does several times better. I bow to his uber-leetness.

EDIT: Oh, and I probably have a longer "Enemies List" than most people on the Internet. Just thought I'd like to mention that.

Re: Introductions

Hello everybody.  You know who I am. I'm Strawberry Shortcake from Strawberry Land.  Though I live in the city and I haven't been ehre long I think it's bout time that you heard my berry song.  Now you've heard of the monkey and you've heard fo the twist, but here's a little dance that you might have missed.  It's so easy, no, it's a snap.  We call it the Strawberry Rap!

Sorry, I tend to go off on tangents like that.  Anways, where was I?

Oh yeah.  I'm Bob Barker AKA Toxic The Machine, creator of such fanimutations Shumway and Chocolate Niblet Beans.  I also occasionally make crazy remix dealies that infirnge on thousands of copywrites.   I live in Canada and am currently in my second year of Computing Science at university.  That's about it.

Re: Introductions

You make crazy remix dealies? Did YOU make that crazy salsa remix of Static-X's "Black and White," and that remix of that Naivepop Or Petitfool song?

Re: Introductions

No no no.  The Latin remix, I found on Acidplanet.com back in October of 2001 when there was a Static X remix contest, and the remix of the Naivepop or Petitfool song is done by Plus-Tech Squeeze Box, who basically just used the vocals of the orgiinal track and turned it into a typical Plus-Tech Squeeze Box song.  In fact I strongly recommend people to check out Plus-Tech Squeeze Box, cuz they're awesome.

My mixes aren't as great, but hey are rather interesting.  I made a track called "Gahbunga  (The Animutation Mix)" back in 2002 which combined pieces of all the animutation songs of Neil pre-"Earth vs Funk".  I made a track called "The Most Annoying Song Ever Made" which is based around a sample to a tune many will recognize (which you can find by going to http://www.strangely-familiar.com/sounds/ and then going to "SFMC Exclusives 06 - 04".)  Some other tracks I've got include My Band of Leaves, Soul Sifin, and Just Plain Stupid.

We are Pieborg.  You will be carmellized.  Resistance is fruit-filled.
I made up the name to be my screen name for counter-strike, which I now avoid.  Later I found out it was the name to an IRC bot.  I just thought "pie" rhymed with "cy" in cyborg.

I'm a first year comp sci major at CSU Chico, CA.

I found PSB's official site through a Google search, and downloaded all the MP3 samples offered by the band's record label. It's, well, er, how do I put this? If there was ever a Tiny Toons/Katamari Damacy crossover, the music would sound kind of like Plus-Tech Squeeze Box. And some of the songs are just BEGGING to be animutated.

Re: Introductions

Well I've got all the tracks from their two albums, if you ever want me to send some via e-mail or AIM or MSN or whathaveyou.

I find the stuff from their second album Cartooom, to proabably more suited for animutations than the stuff from their first "Fakefox".  But they're borth pretty coo.

For those wanting to hear some small clips, you can go to these two links:
http://www.vroom-sound.com/sound/VRCD3311.html
http://www.vroom-sound.com/sound/VMSD002.html

And there website can be found here:
http://www.vroom-sound.com/psb/

They've also got a track on the Spongebob Squarepants Movie Soundtrack, strangely enough.

Re: Introductions

Thanks! My AIM SN is BigTsuRM2K, but I'm more often found on IRC (irc.slashnet.org, channel #brasington). It figures PSB has a track on a movie based on a Nicktoon.

Re: Introductions

Well, I'm Testing.  I'm a Sem student, and I owe everything that I've ever done with Flash to Dwedit.  That being the case, I figured the least I could do was pay him a little homage on his boards.

By the way, I'd like to thank the $$60.000.000.000 man for signing onto the forum at 7:00 in the morning today, because with him online the "users online" bar read:

Re: Introductions

I'm Random Ferret. I came here because there were a few people in the animunity down whose throats I had not yet crammed HOLY SHIT! NINJAS!!!!. It's not my first flash, or even my first fanimutation, but it is my best, and may always be.

My first Malto experience was with 'Rock n' Roll McDonalds.' Somebody I have since lost contact with linked me to the flash back at the dawn of the new millenium, and I thought it was rad, but I never explored the site further. It wasn't until the following year that I would learn what animutation was, or even hear another Wesley Willis song, rest his soul.
