Hey there, Dwedit!  I'm a fan of your malto works.  Haven't heard a peep from you in a while.  What have you been doing lately?

Re: Welcome

Hey Dwedit, I'm so glad that somebody else out there shares my love of Dragon Warrior and animutations. May I ask where the expression "That's so malto" comes from? Sounds like a Japanese soft drink slogan.

Re: Welcome

My brother's friends were playing Scrabble, and Josh decided to show off that his scrabble tiles spelled out "SO MALTO".  He thought it sounded like one of those 1950's chocoloate drink slogans.  I then took over that concept.  It's so malto.

BWAH HA HA! I got up, like, ten minutes ago, and that's probably going to be the funniest thing I see all day. By the way, what does "That's so quelly" mean? Similar origin?

"Quelly" is from Gelatto Chocolatto, the first fanimutation.

Re: Welcome

Where can I find Gelatto Chocolatto? There don't seem to be any results for it on Google, nor is it on the Great Big Fanimutation List...

Re: Welcome

Yeah, my parents don't like them that much either.  I think they only listen to the music since they don't get the animation and hate it because its in a language they can't understand.

Re: Welcome

I can understand the basic idea behind the songs if they're in Japanese. For example, the song used in Mr. Homie's "Dan Hibiki For President" (one of my personal favorites) is all about smorgasbord-style restaurants, hence the movie's "Yodel Buffet" subtitle. ("Tally-ho" is actually "Tabehou," meaning "all you can eat," and "Formidable Cheekah in front of the ye gas ye ho all day" is really "Tomorokoshi, kyabetsu, tamanegi, yakihou de," meaning "all the roasted corn, cabbages, and onions.")

Re: Welcome

I love looking at the subtitles in Jamez Bond.  Haha, they're so different than what I would expect.

Heh, I did it the other way around - the first time I saw the Love Hina opening, I couldn't get the image of JamezBond out of my head.

Sometimes I'm scared of what I might do if I saw someone playing DDR choose the song 'Hot Limit'...

Re: Welcome

I've never seen a Love Hina episode before, nor know where to find it.  So I have no way of hearing the theme either way.
