Re: TI83 Emulator version 0.00

Only one group file is supported, so use a tool to group/ungroup the programs first.  Something like the TI Graph Link software will work.

Re: TI83 Emulator version 0.00

What's the memory limit? I added files and it usually gives me a memory error.

There's a total of 27118 bytes available on a TI83.

Re: TI83 Emulator version 0.00

Any form of saving allowed? This Zelda game I found makes saved games.
I tried adding the menu patch on my M3 for savestates but then the GBA ROM doesn't boot at all.

Re: TI83 Emulator version 0.00

Sorry to necropost, but is this emulator ever going to support the TI-83+/TI-84+?

Re: TI83 Emulator version 0.00

There's a better emulator on the DS already, check out WabbitDS.
Doing the TI83+ on the GBA would be really hard to do, since the Archive of the TI83+ is bigger than the GBA's own RAM.  Not to mention that you couldn't really save it, since flash cartridges have 64K of SRAM.
If you use a fancy flash cartridge that has additional RAM and SD cards, you're probably better off just going to the DS anyway.

Here is a Multiboot version of the TI83 emulator.
If you trim the TI83 rom, the file size of the rom is about 215900 bytes large.

How would one trim the rom file on linux?

Re: TI83 Emulator version 0.00

Would you be able to release the source code for this? Using the GPIO mode of the GBA's linkport, I'd like to try to get proper TI-83 linkport emulation working.

Re: TI83 Emulator version 0.00

Can I get just the TI83 part to work ? I hit the SELECT button in the GBA emulator and saw the very nice keyboard - but it doesn't work. I don't necessarily need or want to run a ROM with it, just take advantage of its internal calculator for on-the-go calculations.

Always interested in emulators that run on on the GBA console.

Re: TI83 Emulator version 0.00

It can't do anything without a ROM file, since it's emulating the system.

Re: TI83 Emulator version 0.00

Is there a way to write a program that is kind of like a feedback loop then ? So I can use the buttons to do calculations ?

Back on the TRS 80 you could use:

10 INPUT A
20 PRINT A
30 GOTO 10

Then you could enter calculations like:

? 2+(3*4)
14

Always interested in emulators that run on on the GBA console.
