Fresh baked Japan!
You Dumbass! It's Yakitate!!! [Fresh baked] Japan [Ja-pan]
This anime is about a guy that supposedly has Solar Hands (really warm hands 30C), and his quest to find the bread for Japan, Ja-pan (which is a pun. Pan is the japanase word for bread, so Japan-bread) that tastes equal or better than rice. He made a lot of different types of bread, including the croissant (japan #43, who is kurowa-san?) and the bapao-bread (japan #55).
Leofox' opinion:
The serie is kind of stupid, one reason is that it's about BREAD. I guess the authors wanted to make an anime without sex or violence, so they ended up with this. Another reason is that the bread is a little to important. Can you imagine that 50 000 people would go to a stadium to see a bread contest, and that it's also broadcasted on tv as a large event? I can't...
But I liked it anyway, it was funny, and it has nice drawings. I've seen better ones though.
My: opinion:
It's one of the greatest animes I've ever found on the net. And my rule counts for everthing: "If it's crap. I don't have it."
BTW. I've got Ep 8 and it rocks!

Shows like Yakitake Japan and Hikaru No Go, in my opinion, were probably made just to prove that anime and manga can be about other things besides fighting and sex.
