Need a new host...

In case it isn't obvious (at least one month of downtime!), I need a new host.  Any suggestions?

Well, my bandwidth so far seems to have no upper limit. I'm getting a little tight on space, though. How many megs are we talking aboot?

Not so much megs, more like Mysql and php.  Comcast is still being a good host for static stuff.

Re: Need a new host...

shyeahhh... My host won't let me use any server-side code whatsoever.

It's been bothersome, but for free unlimited bandwidth, I made the sacrifice.

Music: Here I come to save the day!!!

I've got a linux server sitting in my basement with just my personal flash stuff on it... it has MySQL/PHP/Apache2, I think it'll run the wiki and forums if you know how to transfer databases...

I only have 1.2Mbps upstream, but I think it'll be enough for the traffic we get on these things.

If you want dwedit, I'll make an account and let you figure out how to transfer mySQL databases.  PM or email me.

Re: Need a new host...

I can transfer databases fine...
I sure hope the host is more reliable than the Website link seen at the left of your post.  One time I viewed it and instead got a "Domain Parked" page with tons of ads on it.

Re: Need a new host...

Yeah, I'm getting a new nameserver ASAP.  My current one stinks, I agree... but, you don't have to worry about that, since you have your own site address thing.

I have a dynamic IP (stupid Verizon), but I have mudisrv01.servehttp.com updating to my current IP every 1 minute anyway.  The IP only updates when I mess with the connection, so it's almost never a problem.

And your complaint was the last straw for my last nameserver host, I just set up with a new nameserver, we'll see if this one's a little better :P

THE POINT:
Yes, the computer is very stable, but my old nameserver sucked, and has now been fired.
