MegaMan X and X2 beaten side by side with identical joypad input!

This is just amazing.

Yes, it was emulator assisted, and done was done with savestates, slow motion, and re-recording.  But TWO GAMES side by side being beaten with the same keystrokes!  And nothing cheap like pausing one game and playing each game separately.  Does a better job with X2 than X1.
Requires H.264 codec to play (get ffdshow).

Yeah, that site rocks. I'm still seeding a few torrents from that site. Haven't seen this though, it looks cool.

Actually, that particular run was done 100% with frame advance, since that was the only way to guarantee that they both stayed perfectly synchronized; even then, the run desynched numerous times during production.

Anyone know where to get the emulator (not roms) to be able to play both at the same time?  I'm using Snes 9x 1.43, but the replay stops when the window loses focus

This run looks damn amazing though

Re: MegaMan X and X2 beaten side by side with identical joypad input!

A customized version of SNES9x was required to record that movie, for several reasons: running without window focus (and still accepting keystrokes), both using the same joystick, mapping save/load and frame advance to the joystick, as well as a bunch of other minor details.
If you want to watch them simultaneously, you'll have to download the AVI (or OGM/MKV, whatever they used this time).
